There are several 5 star hotels, lots of homely bed and breakfasts, a good number of self-catering cottages and loads of guesthouses. There are two very reasonably priced hostels in town with private single and double rooms as well as dormitories. There’s also a campsite just outside town.

The Shaminir Bed & Breakfast is about 3 miles out of town on the north coast of the Beara Peninsular. The views north and west across Kenmare Bay to the Mcgillicuddys Reeks are breathtaking. www.shaminir.com

 

The Brook Lane Hotel is close to the centre of town and incorporates Casey’s Bar & Bistro.
